Mindful Practice is an organisational development and participative research consultancy which specialises in helping Children's Services and Partner Agencies respond to the Munro Review of Child Protection recommendations. We work systemically with key stakeholders to build 'listening & learning' cultures and transform services.
Our view is that highly motivated, alert and curious professionals make the difference when it comes to offering effective help to children & families and working together: practitioners and managers who can connect with and respond to the lived reality for the child.
One of our projects on reflective practice and improving the quality of supervision has been cited in the The Munro Review of Child Protection Progress Report: Moving towards a child-centred system, May 2012
Promoting reflective practice- the most frequently cited activity was promotion of, and enhanced training in, reflective supervision practices. In the South West Region, for example, training in 'mindful practice' has been provided for front line managers and social workers with an evaluation reporting improvements in sound analysis and decision making (Jones, 2011).
